About Kabrita®

Kabrita is proudly made in the Netherlands using milk from over 100 Dutch family-run goat farms. Kabrita is the first and only European and goat milk-based infant formula to meet all US FDA requirements. Our infant formula provides an ideal source of protein that is easier to digest than cow milk proteins. Our team of nutritionists, researchers, and food scientists have carefully added evidence-based ingredients, such as iron, folic acid, high sn-2 palmitic acid, DHA, ARA, prebiotics and probiotics to optimize nutrition.
Kabrita is manufactured in the Netherlands.
No, Kabrita formula is not currently certified organic. Our no-GMO goat milk-based formula is produced in Europe, where strict regulations already limit the use of antibiotics, hormones, and pesticides, and govern animal welfare.

Nutrition and Ingredients

The DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) is sourced from Algae.

Kabrita Stage 1 Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula contains 17 mg ARA (arachidonic acid or AA) per 100 ml. The ratio of DHA and ARA is important since too much DHA may suppress the benefits of ARA. The scientific recommendation is that ARA should be added in at least the same amount as DHA. Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula follows this science-based recommendation and has more ARA than DHA.
Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula has a whey: casein ratio of 60: 40, similar to the ratio found in mature breast milk.
No, Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is not suitable for babies with cow-milk allergies. Babies with cow-milk allergies may also react to the protein in goat milk.
The iron content in Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula is 0.65mg/100ml.
  • Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula contains prebiotics - Milk Oligosaccharides (gMOS), which act as a prebiotic. We also add galacto-oligosaccharides (FOS), a prebiotic fiber. FOS is the most studied prebiotic and has proven health benefits for infants, such as the ability to stimulate the growth of beneficial bacteria, hamper the growth of pathogenic bacteria, and improve stool consistency.
  •  Kabrita Goat Milk-Based Infant Formula contains probiotic (Bifidobacterium animalis)
In kabrita stage 1 infant formula the protein concentration is 1.4g/100ml.

No! We don’t use palm oil in our formulas.

1. Easier Digestion
Goat milk proteins form softer, looser curds in the stomach compared to cow milk, which helps promote faster and gentler digestion. Almaas et al., 2006 – British Journal of Nutrition

2. Lower αs1-Casein: Goat milk contains significantly lower levels of αs1-casein(6%), a protein associated with firmer curds and digestive discomfort. Cow milk typically has higher levels (38%), which can make it harder to digest for some babies.

3. A2-Type β-Casein: Goat milk naturally contains A2 β-casein, similar to human milk, whereas most cow milk contains a mix of A1 and A2 β-casein.
A2-type proteins may be less inflammatory and better tolerated by some individuals. Ho et al., 2014 – Nutrition Journal

4. Fast-Hydrolyzed β-Lactoglobulin Whey
: Although goat and cow milk contain similar amounts of β-lactoglobulin (a whey protein not found in human milk), goat β-lactoglobulin is hydrolyzed 4x faster, making it easier to digest. Almaas et al., 2006
  1. Higher A2 β-casein – similar to human milk; gentler on digestion.
  2. Lower αs1-casein – forms softer curds, easier to digest.
  3. Higher natural oligosaccharides – supports gut health, like breast milk.
  4. Only lactose as a source of sugar.
  5. High levels of B-palmitate.
  • Kabrita is the #1 goat milk formula worldwide, backed by Ausnutria’s 75+ years of dairy expertise.
  • Produced by a fully integrated company ensuring premium quality from grass to glass.
  • It is the only goat milk formula approved by the FDA.
  • Contains the highest level of β-palmitate in the market 700mg/100ml, supporting better digestion and softer stools.
  • Uses only natural lactose as the carbohydrate source, no added sugars.
  • No added palm oil or soy.
Kabrita formula use natural, non-hydrolyzed goat milk protein. That means the protein is not artificially hydrolyzed (i.e., not broken down by industrial enzymes), but is naturally easier to digest due to the structure of goat milk protein itself. These features make Kabrita’s protein naturally gentler on the digestive system, without the need for artificial hydrolysis.

Kabrita Stage 1 Goat Milk Infant Formula contains both DHA (Omega-3) and ARA (Omega-6) in a balanced 1:1 ratio, aligning with scientific recommendations for infant nutrition. This balanced ratio supports optimal brain and visual development in infants.

Kabrita uses high-quality, Algae sources that maintain a mild and pleasant flavor, well-accepted by most infants.
Kabrita formulas are specially designed for healthy, full-term infants and are not suitable for premature babies.

Kabrita contains 700mg/100ml of β-Palmitate.

Benefits of β-Palmitate in Kabrita:

  1. Enhances fat and calcium absorption, which may help reduce constipation.
  2. Improves stool consistency, making stools softer.
  3. Supports long-term bone and teeth health through better calcium absorption.
  4. Promotes a healthy gut microbiota by encouraging beneficial bacteria growth.
Kabrita formula contains a blend of high-quality oils, including sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, and algae oil rich in DHA, providing essential fatty acids for infant growth and brain development.

Kabrita formula contains short-, medium-, and long-chain fatty acids:

  • Short- and medium-chain fatty acids from goat milk, which are easier for infants to digest and absorb.

  • Long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (DHA and ARA) essential for brain and eye development.

  • Structured triglycerides with β-palmitate (OPO) mimic breast milk fat, enhancing fat and calcium absorption and improving stool consistency.

These fatty acids support growth, digestive comfort, brain and eye development, and a healthy gut microbiota.

Lactose is the main source of carbohydrate in Kabrita, and it is the main carbohydrate in human milk and is critical for optimal growth and development. It provides energy to all the cells of the body, especially those in the developing brain, and contributes to the absorption of calcium, helps regulate gut microbiota, and supports immune function.
No, Kabrita is not lactose-free. It contains natural lactose, which is the primary carbohydrate in goat milk and breast milk.
Kabrita Stage 1 Infant Formula contains 6.9g/100ml.
Kabrita’s goat milk contains 21 different oligosaccharides, five of which are identical to human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), with 2’-fucosyllactose (2’-FL) being the most predominant.
Kabrita Stage 1 has 0.30g/100ml of FOS.
Yes, Kabrita formulas are fortified with folic acid 10.4mcg/100ml.
Yes, Kabrita Formula contains vitamin D₃, 0.86µg/100ml.

Kabrita has

  • Calcium: 46mg/100 ml
  • Phosphorus: 32mg/100 ml

Calcium-to-phosphorus (Ca:P) ratio of approximately 1.57:1, which aligns with international guidelines for infant nutrition.

Yes, the calcium-to-phosphorus (Ca:P) ratio can influence calcium absorption, bone mineralization and overall skeletal development in infants.

A Ca:P ratio between 1.2:1 and 2:1 is considered optimal for promoting calcium absorption, Kabrita Stage 1 has a Ca:P ratio of ~1.57:1, which is within the ideal range.

No, Kabrita doesn't have special formula.

No, Kabrita formula is designed for healthy infants and is not specifically formulated to treat regurgitation.
